Hello Preschool Families,
I hope all is well with each of you. I have very much enjoyed the posts on Seesaw from the children so far. It makes me smile to see pictures and videos of them even while we are away from each other right now. Not only does it provide me with valuable information to track your child's progress, but it also helps to keep our class connected while we are practicing social distance for the time being. Another way to help bridge this connection is to share your child's posts with the rest of the students in your child's class. To do this, simply comment on one of the posts or email me to let me know that you are okay with me copying your child's posts and making them visible to the other students in the class. It is up to you if you want all posts shared or only some. So please be sure to let me know your preferences! Once I share the posts, then you can like and comment on each other's submissions. I'm hoping this will encourage children to continue learning at home and also help them to still feel connected in some way while we are apart. Additionally, I want to start a weekly share circle with each of the classes while we are gone. We will do this through Zoom during your child's regular class time. I will send out emails with your child's meeting time and the information you will need to join the meeting. During our share circle, we will take turns talking about anything that we want. This will be another way for us to stay connected. It will also be great language practice for your child. This week, we will also be starting Bible lessons. The videos will air at 8:15 AM tomorrow. You can find them on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOgxGkv5AQXPtAplu2GHrgA There will be 3 videos that will upload tomorrow morning. I will add a 4th video later in the week. Please watch these videos with your child. In some, I will also add an activity for you to do together after watching. Additionally, you can also choose to watch Pastor Jud's daily devotion for children, which can be found on his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/4monkeys. I hope that you will find these resources useful in the upcoming weeks. I will be posting some new activities to Seesaw for you and your child to work on this week. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the activities or the use of the app. I'm here to help. In case you are looking for other ways to stay entertained/busy during this time, here are a few other suggestions:
