Hello Preschool Families, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying your extra time together at home. I will be posting on here weekly over these next few weeks to communicate ideas for what you and your child can do together at home to enhance learning. We will also be using an app called SeeSaw for you to upload documentation (videos, photos, voice recordings, etc.) of your child's learning during this time. These uploads will allow me to continue to gather data for your child so that I can provided you with a clearer picture of where your child is at academically during parent teacher conferences. The more information you give me, the more accurate goals I'll be able to set for you and your child to work on over the summer. I will be available via email everyday from 9 AM - 3 PM and will respond as quickly as I am able. Outside of these hours, I might not respond as quickly, but I will still respond regularly. After 10 PM, I will no longer respond until 9 AM the next morning. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns during this time. These next few weeks will be different and we will get through them together. Thank you so much for all of your help with continuing learning at home with your child! Tip: If the sheet protector I provided is not sturdy enough, you can also use your child's class folder instead. Simply slide the paper inside of the clear part of the outside of the blue folder. Then, your child should be able to use a dry erase marker to complete the worksheet. Wipe the clear section off with a tissue when your child is finished. You can pull out the page and slide in a new one to do next. This will allow your child to practice these pages more than once. Feel free to upload any of these pictures to your child's SeeSaw portfolio to demonstrate your child's progress over these next few weeks! Some important notes about SeeSaw:
Parent Teacher Conferences: The way things are progressing, I don't believe we will be able to continue with in-person parent teacher conferences at this time. I would like to push conferences back until the end of April/beginning of May to see where we are at. If we are able to meet in person, then I will set up a new sign up sheet for in person conferences. Otherwise, we will do video conferences instead. I will be sure to keep you updated on this as things progress. How to Explain Corona-virus to Your Child: Please read this post by Kim Marxhausen on how to address the corona-virus topic with your preschooler. Additional Activities You Can Try:
